Browns Social House commissioned New Format to create a patina copper feature wall for the dining room in their Mt Royal restaurant in Calgary.
Metal patina is a different kind of finishing – it involves controlling the variables presented by choice of chemical, application of heat, and finishing technique, in order to create a consistent and repeatable result from a traditionally unpredictable process. For this project, the Browns design team provided us with a reference image for color and presentation. Through multiple rounds of samples and experimentation, we refined the color palette and expression to match the client’s vision.
